Female Migrant Hawker egg laying
Insect Scolt Head Dragonfly

Very few Dragonflys attempt to breed on Scolt Head, due to the lack of fresh water habitats. The pond on House Hills is brackish and fluctuates with tidal height. This Migrant Hawker was Egg laying (ovipositing) but Survival of any offspring would have been 'probably' unlikely.
